In this December post, I outlined my reading challenges for 2018. I couldn’t fit this update into my February wrap up (made the post too long), so I decided to post it separately.
My goals for the year:
1. Read 50 books (Goodreads Challenge)
2. Read 1 to 2 books per month from my unread shelf
3. Read 1 book per month written by a person of color
4. Read 1 book per month from a genre I don’t typically read
So…how did I do this month with my meeting these goals?
Goal #1: Read 50 books (Goodreads challenge) // I read four books this month, which counts towards this goal. February was a slow reading month and I fell into a slight slump, but the books I finished puts me ahead of schedule.
Goal #2: Read 1 to 2 books per month from my unread shelf // The Song of Achilles and Wonder Woman: Warbringer were books from my own unread shelf. The other two books I finished were from the library.
Goal #3: Read 1 book per month written by a person of color // Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe is written by Benjamin Alire Sáenz, a Latino American poet and novelist
Goal #4: Read 1 book per month from a genre I don’t typically read // I don’t typically read middle grade so The Titan’s Curse by Rick Riordan counts towards that goal
How are you doing with your 2018 reading goals?
