Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It combines a love for lists, books, and brings bookish friends together. This week’s topic is bookish worlds I’d want to/never want to live in. Because I prefer to spend my time in fictional worlds than the real world, I love this topic! I’ve had years to think about this, so I hope you enjoy my list!
FICTIONAL WORLDS I’D WANT TO LIVE IN
Narnia – Narnia is my favorite bookish world ever. It’s beautiful and so full of magic, even when it’s winter all the time.
The Shire – Before his adventures, Bilbo had food, closet full of clothes, and took multiple naps a day. Doesn’t this sound perfect? Sounds perfect to me.
Ketterdam – Would I survive The Barrel? I can’t answer that question, but I would love to live in Ketterdam and learn a thing or two from Inej Ghafa.
LA Institute – I love the Blackthorns. They’re my favorite fictional family and Julian Blackthorn is one of my favorite YA male characters, so I’d be willing to kick some demon ass for them.
FICTIONAL WORLDS I PROBABLY WOULDN’T SURVIVE IN SO I DON’T WANT TO LIVE THERE
Hogwarts – I love Harry Potter, the Wizarding World, butterbeer and would love to visit Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley, but Hogwarts is dangerous May-September for students and everyone. I simply refuse to be a casualty of Voldemort’s nonsense.
Panem – I WOULD NOT VOLUNTEER AS TRIBUTE. I would not survive the Hunger Games. In fact, I’d probably be the first person killed because I’d be the weakest link.
Martial Empire – I wouldn’t survive Sabaa Tahir’s fictional Rome-inspired world.
What bookish worlds would you want to/ never want to live in? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!
