July Wrap Up

Hi friends! I know this a few days late, but I didn’t want to miss the chance to recap one of my best reading months. July was a pretty busy month and I thought I only read 4 books because that’s what it felt like, but I was WRONG. I hope you enjoy my short wrap up!

I finished NINE books and DNF’d one book. That’s quite a feat given how busy July was for me. My average rating was 3.88, which is close to my typical rating. Strange the Dreamer was a re-read in preparation for Muse of Nightmares. My favorite new reads were The City of Brass and Daughter of the Pirate King duology. I read those books in a day. I can’t wait for the sequel for The City of Brass!

I included The Cat in the Hat in my wrap up because I read it for the Magical Readathon O.W.L.s. I read it, so it counts! Hahaha.

  • Participate in N.E.W.T.s Readathon hosted by Book Roast
  • This blog is turning one on August 27th and I want to celebrate with a giveaway. I need to plan that
  • Figure out a consistent posting schedule and learn to juggle blogging and full-time work
  • I’ve decided to no longer worry about the reviews that I didn’t get to in June. It feels overwhelming. Instead, I’m going to focus on writing reviews for three books I finished in July and future reads. I need the fresh start.

How was your reading in July? What were you favorite reads? What’s on your August TBR? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!

  2. Wow! Nine books is amazing ❤️

I also read Girl Made of Stars last month and I really liked it, I thought it was a really empowering book and I loved the LGBTQ+ representation. City of Brass and Strange The Dreamer are both books that I have on my TBR so I’m happy to read that you liked them.

Hope you have a good August!
