Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It combines a love for lists, books, and brings bookish friends together. This week’s topic is Books By My Favorite Authors That I Still Haven’t Read. Basically, this is the post where you can shame me for being a terrible reader. However, before you shame me, understand that I was a full-time grad student for two years and now I work full-time. I don’t have time and I’m a mood reader. Plus, what kind of bookworm would I be if I were actually caught up on everything? Not a very good one! This is starting to sound like excuses for why I’m the worst at backlists, so let’s move on and pretend I’ll get to these books soon. I promise I love these authors.
Are you the worst at backlists too? Let me know in the comments what books by your favorite authors that you still haven’t read. Thanks for reading!
Great Books 💖

I’m terrible at backlists too! 😭 But I’m also reading “The Thing Around Your Neck” now and I’m getting through it faster than I thought I would. Each short story is only at max 20 pages!

I have a copy of that book and I didn’t realize it was a short story collection. Lol. I’m definitely going to try to read this soon.

I had his Black Panther stuff on my TBR in August but I didn’t get to it. I read the first issue, but haven’t had time for the other issues.

Hahaha! I started daughter of smoke and bone but the book got wet because my water bottle spilled in my bag and I had to get rid of it. I’m going to try borrowing it from the library.

I’m pretty sure the definition of a bookworm revolves around being so overwhelmed with books that you just let yourself drown in them???! I have so many authors I need to read books for it’s overwhelming!

Exactly! If we were caught up on backlists and new releases, we would be terrible bookworms.

Lovely selection! Hope you get to read them soon 🙂
I had Daughter of Smoke and Bone on my kindle for about 4 years before i actually read it 😀
Language of Thornes is sitting on my shelf since February, but haven’t got the time to read it yet.

I tried to read both of those books but I wasn’t really motivated to read them when I tried. Also, my copy of daughter of smoke and bone got wet accidentally and I had to get rid of it. Lol. I hope to borrow it from the library.

Ooh, I hope you like the Leigh Bardugo books! The Shadow and Bone trilogy isn’t as good as SoC in my opinion, but still a fun read!

I read the first book and I kind of liked it but I haven’t had much motivation to read the other two books because I wasn’t that invested in the characters.

Dear Ijeawele, or a Feminist Manifesto in Fifteen Suggestions is so good! I just read it this summer and loved it. I hope you do too!
