The Joy of Christmas Book Tag

Happy Monday, everyone! While I was planning blog content for Blogmas, I knew I wanted to do some Christmas-theme book tags. I watch Youtube like it’s a premium network so when I couldn’t think of anything, I hopped on there and found this tag. This tag was created by Sam over at Sam’s Nonsense.

  1. Anticipation: The Christmas excitement is real, what book release(s) are you most anticipating?

I’ve been hyping up Queen of Air and Darkness for a year and half. It comes out tomorrow and I can’t wait to devour it. I’m shutting myself off from the world until I finish it as soon as I get it.

2. Christmas Songs & Carols: What book or author can you not help but sing it’s praises?

I am on mission to convince everyone to read The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty. I read an early copy of sequel, The Kingdom of Copper, and somehow, it’s even better than the first book. The Davaebad trilogy is honestly one of the best series I’ve read. Please read this book.

3. Gingerbread Houses: What book or series has wonderful world building?

I had to resist the urge to post another photo of The City of Brass. Sky in the Deep has minimal world-building, but the little it does have is very beautiful.

4. A Christmas Carol: Favorite classic or one that you want to read

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of my all-time favorite books.

5. Christmas Sweets: What book would you love to receive for Christmas

This is kind of impossible, but I would be thrilled if Santa left an ARC of The Dragon Republic by R.F. Kuang under my Christmas tree this year. I believe in you, Santa.

6. Candles in the Window: What book gives you that warm fuzzy feeling

The Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite book in the Harry Potter series. This book has such great moments and introduces us to the Marauders.

7. Christmas Trees & Decorations: What are some of your favorite book covers?

8. Christmas Joy: What are some of your favorite things about Christmas And/Or some of your favorite Christmas memories?

Christmas decorations, Christmas movies, family, and time off from work/school.

Tagging a few bloggers below and anyone else who wants to do this:

There you have it. My first Christmas themed book tag. What are book are you anticipating? Let me know in the comments! Thanks for reading!

  1. Thank you so much for tagging me, Merline! 😀 I think we both know my answer for that first question too and it’s only about 24hrs until we finally get to hold this book in our hands. CAN YOU BELIEVE? But also, I read like a ‘everything you have to know about QOAAD’ post and I am like, even less ready now. xD But also, you’ll have to deal with quite a few characters you’re probably not familiar with (both the original series and the other trilogy), so if you’ve got any questions while reading, feel free to DM me. 🙂

I don’t know if I’ll have a spot for this tag in my schedule, but if I do, I can’t wait to do it! It super fun!

    1. I’m so ecstatic! I feel like QOAAD was holding me hostage and I’ll finally be able to breath! Lol. I will definitely DM’ing you on Twitter or Instagram if I’m lost about some characters! Thank you so much!
