Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl. It combines a love for lists, books, and brings bookish friends together. This week’s topic is cozy/wintry reads. In the spirit of Christmas, I decided to switch it up this week and list a few of my favorite Christmas albums that are great for the cozy weather. Hope you enjoy my list!
Leslie Odom Jr’s album Simply Christmas should be in heavy rotation for anyone who loves Christmas music. His silky smooth voice always makes me feel like I’m a Hallmark movie – except I live in Florida so there’s no snow or cute guy that I bump into at a bakery.
As you’ll notice, this list is filled with “modern” Christmas albums. Nat King Cole is a classic album that you need in your life.
Okay so this isn’t THE best album to play in the background while reading because it might be bit distracting. However, Mariah Carey is the Queen of Christmas and I can’t make a list without including her.
Please don’t be alarmed when I say that I only know of Michael Buble because of his Christmas album. I’m just not familiar with any of his other music, but add songs from this album to my Christmas playlist every single year.
I miss Whitney Houston’s voice so much. This album brings soulful vibe to some classic Christmas songs. At minimum, you should listen to Little Drummer Boy and I’ll Be Home for Christmas once.
I bet you didn’t expect to see Justin Bieber on this list. When my friend told me his Christmas album was good, I was kind of skeptical. But I ended up really liking it. Mistletoe is my favorite track.
Santa Claus is Comin’ To Town is one of my favorites on this album.
Bonus: Amazon Music has this great “Piano Christmas” station. I’m not exactly sure what the station is called because I use Alexa, but it’s a fantastic alternative if you don’t want songs with words. Spotify also has playlist titled “Christmas Peaceful Piano.” This is another great alternative. I listen it at work.
So there you have it, friends. Just a few of my favorite Christmas albums. What are your favorite Christmas songs? Let me know in the comment! Thanks for reading!
