Hi everyone! I’m participating in the 24in48 readathon this weekend with my bookstafriend Cory. I participated in it last year (my first readathon ever) and really enjoyed it so I decided to join again and thought I’d shared my TBR with you. The readathon is from January 26-27th and the goal is to read for 24 hours in a 48 hour period.
Last year, I completely abandoned my TBR, but managed to read for 17 hours and finished 2 books during the readathon. I was perfectly happy with my time because I only signed up for fun. Plus, I was still in school so I had lots of homework, laundry, and I got easily distracted by other things.
My approach this year is still pretty chill and laid back so my TBR is small and consists of some short backlisted books. This isn’t set in stone, but these are the books I think I want to read:

- The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang: So many people raved about this book when it came out and it was voted best romance of 2018 for the Goodreads Choice Awards (check out my reading challenge here). Time to see if it lives up to hype. Also, I’ve been in the mood for romance lately.
- Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo: I’m looking forward to King of Scars next week, but I still haven’t made my way through The Grisha Trilogy. Hopefully, I can finish them by Tuesday. If I need to switch formats, I’ll listen to the audiobook for this.
- The Witch Doesn’t Burn in This One by Amanda Lovelace: I’m not really into poetry, but this is a short read so I don’t think I’ll have any problem finishing it.
These books will round out my January reading. If I finish them, they’ll all count towards my Beat the Backlist reading goal. My plan is to start reading some time after midnight (the official start time) and read most of the day on Saturday. Sunday is grocery shopping/cooking/hair wash day so I don’t think I’ll get a lot of reading done, but I’ll try.
Let’s hope I don’t abandon these books because of my mood reading.
Click here for more information about 24in48 and to sign up. They have really cool prizes if you complete 24 hours of reading.
I’ll be posting updates on Twitter and Instagram stories throughout the weekend, so make sure you’re following me on those platforms. Let me know if you’re participating!

Good luck with your TBR! I really enjoyed The Witch and Siege and Storm- not as much as other books in the series, but still really enjoyed it.

I saw you did it and I am so proud of you, great TBR! I got a migraine and wound up only reading about 6.5 hours this time but it was still fun!
