March TBR

Hey everyone! I wasn’t going to make a March TBR, but since I have a few buddy reads set up, I figured that I should just make one. March is going to be a really busy month at work, but I’m feeling pretty ambitious and hoping I have a better reading month than February.

The Everlasting Rose by Dhonielle Clayton ⇢ This is the sequel to The Belles and I’m buddy reading it with Stacie and Bee.

Maybe in Another Life by Taylor Jenkins Reid ⇢ The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid was one of my favorite books last year so I’m excited to check out her backlist. I’m buddy reading this with Lynell at Weekend Reader.

Dear Haiti, Love Alaine by Maika Moulite and Maritza Moulite ⇢ As soon as I found out about this book, I knew I wanted an ARC. I’m so happy Harlequin approved my request because I can’t wait to read it. The MC is Haitian, which means a lot to me because I’m Haitian and very rarely see this kind of representation. I’m buddy reading it with Kayla at Books and Blends.

Last month, I made a Twitter poll because I couldn’t figure out what I was in the mood to read. I’ve decided to make it a monthly thing so these are two books Twitter voted for me to read:

A Study in Charlotte by Brittany Cavallaro ⇢ This was the February pick that I still haven’t finished. February was a struggle so I’m only 50 pages into it. I hope to finish it this month.

On the Come Up by Angie Thomas ⇢ I recommended the audiobook to the library and they bought it so I got to borrow it first. I started it on Saturday after the poll closed. I’m 19% done and really enjoying it.

So, these are the only books that I’ve committed to reading. It’s not too much structure and there’s lots of room for my mood reading so I’m satisfied. What books are you planning to read this month? Let me know in the comments.

  1. OOH THE EVERLASTING ROSE! I read The Belles and it was so, so good and that cliffhanger though??? I’m scared and I need the next book soon. Also, I know SO MANY people loved The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo but I haven’t read it yet even though I shoulddd. I hope you enjoy the author’s other book! In March I’m planning to read The Bride Test, Descendant of the Crane, and Far From Agrabah!

  2. Fun idea to let your Twitter pick some of your monthly reads… then you can maybe balance some of the more hyped books with potentially under-rated ones you choose yourself! Best of luck this month reading!
