Hey everyone! I typically only make most anticipated lists twice a year; however, May 2019 is STACKED with books that weren’t on my radar when I posted my list back in January so I had to make an exception. Even though I’ve already read two of the books on this list, I’m still including them because I’m excited about them!
The Bride Test by Helen Hoang | May 7. I read The Kiss Quotient a few months ago and absolutely loved it so I jumped at the opportunity to read and review The Bride Test. I enjoyed this so much and I can’t wait to read the finished copy. I hope Berkley signed Helen Hoang to a lifetime contract.
With the Fire on High by Elizabeth Acevedo | May 7. I posted my review for this a few days ago and you should definitely check it out here. It’s a great novel with food, culture, and resilient (lovable) characters. Also can’t wait for the finished copy.
Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman and Jay Krisoff | May 7. This book broke the internet. Not only were people up trying to pre-order this like it was Beyoncé tickets, some were acting out of pocket on Twitter for those sprayed edges. Regardless, I’ve heard great things about this. Even though I’ve only read Illuminae by this writing duo, I’m looking forward to this and I placed library hold two weeks ago. I hope I’m the first person on the waitlist.
Red, White & Royal Blue by Cassie McQuiston | May 14. I’ve seen nothing but GLOWING AND GUSHING reviews for this book. I recommended it to my library two weeks ago because I can’t wait to read it!
The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren | May 14. This book sounds like a lot of fun. It’s enemies-to-lovers AND there’s a fake relationship (aka my all-time favorite trope).
Fake It Till You Break It by Jenn P. Nguyen | May 28. This book is right up my alley because it’s another fake relationship romance. I read The Way to Game the Walk of Shame by Nguyen last May and enjoyed that so I’m expecting cute/fluffy romcom from this.
Are any of these books on your TBR?
Let me know in the comments. Thanks so much for reading!
