Hi everyone! I won’t spend too much time on this introduction because February was exhausting. I’ve been fighting a reading slump since the end of January so motivation to read or post anything on here is extremely low. I tried re-reading a few favorites hoping that would pull me out of my slump, but that didn’t work. I hope I can get my shit together in March, but if it doesn’t happen I won’t feel too bad about it.
Without further ado, my February wrap up. I hope you enjoy!
Despite my reading struggles, I managed to finish six books in February. I read one book with my eyes and listened to five audiobooks for a total of 2,325 pages. Five of the books on this list were books I read the beginning of the month.
I ended up shelving 7 highly anticipated books as “to be continued” because nothing holds my interest for more than a few pages. I’m even struggling with audiobooks, which is super rare because I love audiobooks. At this point, I’m just going to stop fighting and lean into the slump.
📖 Black Girl Unlimited by Echo Brown: Coming of age YA novel that explores multiple intersections (review)
📖 Long Bright River by Liz Moore: Captivating mystery dealing with drug abuse and corruption (review)
📖 One for the Money by Janet Evanovich: Re-read of the first Stephanie Plum book. I used to love this series.
📖 Real Men Knit by Kwana Jackson: Cute friends-to-lovers romance. Keep an eye out for my review in May.
📖 The City of Brass by S.A. Chakraborty: Re-read of one of my favorite series because I was feeling slumpy. I’m desperate for The Empire of Gold.
📖 You Are Not Alone by Greer Hendricks & Sarah Pekkanen: The end of the road for me and this author combo. You can check out my non-spoiler review here.
I didn’t buy any books in February; however, I received the following books from publishers.
Thanks so much to Penguin and Little, Brown!
In cased you missed it, here are the only two things I posted on here in February. Hope you’ll check them out if you haven’t already!
Hi everyone! As someone who actually likes reviewing books I can’t believe that I haven’t published any on here in over two months. And I’ve read 14 books this year so my (valid) excuses are exhaustion and busyness. Anyways, I’m happy to share my thoughts on two audiobook ARCs I finished recently. I went into…
Hi everyone! Today I’m here to talk about all the books I read in January. January was a long month, but I can’t believe it’s already time for the first wrap up of 2020. Because I didn’t review any books on here in January, I included a few sentences about each of the books I…
How was your February? Let me know in the comments! Thanks so much for reading!
