Weekly Wrap Up | Oct. 28

Hey loves!  This weekly post is a recap of what I’ve been up to during the past week. I talk about the books I’ve read, share blog posts and reviews I published on the blog, what I’m currently reading, and updates. Sometimes, I may even sprinkle in a few goals. If you have a similar weekly post, let me know. I’d love to check it out!
1books read (2)My Plain Jane (My Lady Janies #2) by Cynthia Hand, Jodi Meadows, Brodi Ashton. I picked up this book because I read Jane Eyre over the summer and since that makes me a smug and sophisticated reader…Hahahahaha, I can’t say that with a straight face. Seriously, I read this book because I’m familiar with the story and thought I might enjoy this retelling. I liked it, but I don’t think it adds anything new or fresh to the story. There are a few pop culture references and some new characters, but it doesn’t deviate much from the original story. I liked the addition of Charlotte Bronte as a character.2

The Death of Mrs. Westaway by Ruth Ware. This is my first time reading Ruth Ware. I’m currently listening to the audiobook and only 10% into it.4This week was exhausting and pretty crappy. I’m moving out of my apartment after 4 months because I discovered squirrels in the apartment and the response from management about maintenance issues has been poor. I gave a 30 day notice so I’m now in the process of apartment hunting and need to start packing ASAP. This was a hard decision to make and I have anxiety about moving and finances, but it’s for the best. I may take a blogging hiatus in November. I’m not sure yet. I want to continue doing the things things I enjoy to prevent becoming overwhelmed since this move is happening so close to holidays.

That’s all for now, friends. How was your reading week? What book(s) did you finish? What are you reading? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading!signature (2)Instagram | Twitter | Goodreads | Tumblr
